Verrà intitolata al maestro Brunero Burbassi la scuola primaria di Levanella, a Montevarchi. Una figura molto apprezzata quella di Burbassi, non solo per il suo lavoro di insegnante ma anche per l’impegno nel mondo dell’associazionismo e della cultura. La cerimonia si terrà venerdì 15 settembre, in coincidenza con il primo giorno di scuola, alla presenza del sindaco Silvia Chiassai Martini.
“Abbiamo deciso di condividere l’emozione del primo giorno di scuola con i bambini, i genitori e tutti gli insegnanti – afferma il sindaco – attraverso un momento significativo rappresentato dall’intitolazione del plesso di Levanella all’amatissimo maestro Brunero Burbassi la cui prematura scomparsa, a causa di una malattia, ha lasciato un vuoto incolmabile in tutta la nostra comunità. Con questo gesto, finalmente, possiamo ricordare un uomo conosciuto e stimato per il lavoro svolto negli anni, apprezzato da tante generazioni per la passione e la dedizione che metteva nell’insegnamento, ricordando anche il suo attivismo nell’associazionismo, nella cultura, nell’arte e in particolare in tutti gli eventi in cui i bambini sono sempre stati protagonisti”.
“Un modo per dedicare la scuola, proprio attraverso il suo nome, al mondo degli insegnanti che soni un punto di riferimento quotidiano nella crescita dei nostri figli e che, anche in questo nuovo anno, saranno chiamati a svolgere un lavoro prezioso potendo sempre contare sul nostro sostegno. Questa amministrazione comunale considera la scuola una priorità e la Primaria di Levanella è il simbolo del forte impegno che siamo riusciti a mantenere con i cittadini realizzando una struttura sicura, accogliente e moderna che oggi è una nuova ‘casa’ per la nostra comunità – conclude Chiassai Martini – Il riconoscimento al maestro Brunero Burbassi rappresenta un omaggio sentito a chi ha messo la sua vita al servizio delle cose che contano, come l’educazione e la formazione, con l’obiettivo di costruire insieme un futuro migliore”
